Kiwi

Here is an aerial view of Kiwi, the village I grew up in and where my parents have worked for the past 40 years. I just got the picture in an email from my mom a couple of minutes ago. I love it.

Kiwi is located at 5000 ft. in the eastern highlands of Papua, Indonesia. The tribe that my parents work with is the Ngalum tribe. My dad finished translating the New Testament in 2000, right before I graduated from high school. He is now working on the book "Systematic Theology" with his informants. My mother is a nurse and her old clinic used to be the little building at the top of the airstrip on the left hand side, but she has recently moved it down to our house, where my bedroom used to be. They have two years left before retirement.
